This year marks the 8th anniversary of the World Music Conference (WMC)!
Organized by the British Carnatic Choir, the WMC has become a landmark event in the Midlands, uniting youth, artists, musicians, and professionals from diverse ages, faiths, races, and cultural backgrounds. The conference is dedicated to promoting peace, harmony, and unity through shared values, knowledge, and artistic collaboration.
Our seven-year journey has been enriching, with valuable partnerships and collaborations that support our vision. Each year, we feature meaningful dialogues and panel discussions with experts on relevant themes. A unique aspect of the WMC is its focus on engaging children and adolescents, offering them opportunities to connect with their cultural heritage, which contributes to their personal development and well-being.
The conference is proud to have received support from respected organizations and individuals over the years. These partnerships allow us to explore new themes annually while continuing our mission of using music as a bridge for cultural integration and appreciation. This year, we aim to drive further global change through our theme, "The Role of Music in Preventing and Managing Alzheimer’s Disease," focusing on the therapeutic potential of music for social cohesion and well-being.
